The name of Nelya is inspired by the two daughters of the family — Nefeli and Lydia. According to Greek mythology, Nefeli was the Goddess of Hospitality. Lydia comes from the "Lydian stone" (as it was called in ancient times) — a hard, black stone that was abundant in the region of Lydia. Through the Lydian stone, the Ancient Greeks discovered how to measure what we now call carats.
Nelya was the favourite vacation home of the family and they loved to gather here with friends to create lifetime memories.
